La industria siderúrgica como grupo de interés en la guerra comercial chino-americana

Una de las primeras medidas adoptadas por la administración Trump en la guerra comercial de Estados Unidos y China fue la imposición de aranceles del 25% al acero importado y del 10% al aluminio, decisión que generó, además de los impactos económicos internacionales, repercusiones para la industria siderúrgica nacional. Sin embargo, el papel de los grupos de interés de la industria siderúrgica de EE.UU. en la imposición de estos aranceles en 2018 sigue siendo abstracto y en gran medida especulativo. Por lo tanto, con el objetivo de evaluar la influencia de la industria siderúrgica norteamericana en estas medidas arancelarias, haremos una investigación de fuentes primarias para recopilar datos referentes a las principales empresas de la parte interesada de la industria siderúrgica norteamericana y analizarlas en vista de testimonios y documentos oficiales. Estos datos apuntan que el grupo efectivamente influye en la imposición de aranceles al acero y al aluminio y abre caminos para futuras investigaciones sobre el tema.
